Nominated for Best Lead Performance in a New Series for both Film Independent's Spirit Awards and the Gotham Awards for her role as "Violet" in Amazon Original's critically-acclaimed "As We See It", Sue Ann has been hailed as the "Next Big Thing" by The Hollywood Reporter, "One To Watch" by People magazine, and listed on Variety's Dream Emmy Lead Actress list. She's directed many music videos as a neurodiverse creator, championing employment for disabled and autistic cast and crew in her narrative directorial debut with "Once More, Like Rain Man" (written by and starring autistic teenager Bella Zoe Martinez) featuring Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), Sosie Bacon (Smile), Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds), Tal Anderson (As We See It), James Ponsoldt (Emmy-nominated Executive Producer of "Shrinking") and many other superstar cameos with and without disabilities. Produced by Golden Globe nominee Suzann Ellis, Darren Dean (Oscar-winner Sean Baker's "Tangerine" and Oscar-nominated "The Florida Project"), and Melissa and Andy Areffi (Bella's parents), "Once More, Like Rain Man" won BEST COMEDY at its sold-out world premiere for the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying LA SHORTS. It has gone on to be a finalist at Oscar-qualifying DIFF, Canadian Screen Award-qualifying USA Film Festival, and has won over 30 awards so far with upcoming screenings in both NYC and LA for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Short Film Showcase in the "Excellence in Filmmaking" category. Sue Ann has worked as a SAG-AFTRA actress for over twenty years on sets run by Emmy and Academy Award-winning directors and producers. She also voices fan favorite autistic-tech-wizard-ghosthunter "June Chen" on Disney's Emmy-nominated "The Ghost and Molly McGee". An avid rock climber of two decades, she enjoys sport climbing and global exploration projects with a focus on saving species going extinct and preserving the environment. Her love for karaoke had her performing live singing and playing the bass at the Hotel Cafe, opening for her most excellent singer-songwriter wife Cynthia Catania. On her bucket list is to film in space one day.
